A Benefit for Herschel Young Park
Saturday, October 27 | 4:00 - 9:00 pm
Celebrate vintage typewriters at this incredible fundraising event and movie screening at Auburn’s State Theater. Experience the beauty and majesty of vintage Royals, Smith Coronas, Remingtons, and more at an exhibition of 50 antique typewriters. Get your fingers clacking - some of these old-school machines will be available for you to try, buy, and even win!
Following the exhibition is an interview with Richard Polt, typewriter enthusiast and author of The Typewriter Revolution, conducted by KCRA host Edie Lambert. Wrap up the night with a screening of California Typewriter, a documetary directed by Doug Nichol.
If you love vintage machines, the art of typewriting, or are just looking for a nostalgic night out, you’re going to love The Typewriter Revolution at the State Theater. All proceeds from this event will support renovations of Old Town Auburn's very own Herschel Young Park.
